New live shows!
After 3 or 4 attempts to reschedule, our EU tour with Then Comes Silence was eventually pulled for good. Ahead of our return to 1 in 12 in October, This is what we said on social media at the time:
Most of you will know that our planned tour with @thencomessilence was unfortunately pulled due to financial reasons.
On top of Brexit, which is already expensive and difficult to navigate for us, the vast majority of the venues and promoters we work with are independent or fully DIY and are still reeling from the effects of COVID. Add to that the cost of energy crisis and it's easy to see how events like ours can quickly lack viability.
Of course we're gutted. We miss playing in Europe more than anything and we can't wait to get back again. But that's why we're proud to be supporting Bradford's original DIY punk club next Friday!!…
Most of our plans for the year really revolved around those dates, so it was a tough one to take. But the world of live music is still pretty volatile at the moment and these things happen. Still, on 7th Jan we made our live return to the wonderful Carpe Nocturn in Leeds, alongside (fellow!?) legends 13th Chime. This year we’re working hard on the next record, whilst looking at some DIY live options. We’re hoping that with fewer moving parts there should be more chances to just get out and make a racket. x
