Read MoreBig news!
Lots of great stuff going on with the new record and we can't wait to give you a big announcement really soon, but before then we have some important news to share.
A short while back our bass player Karl told us he didn't want to continue with us on this next album. October was going to be his final tour with us before the apocalypse got in the way.
There was a bit of a revolving door of bass players back in the day, but after 5 years and 2 studio albums Karl leaves us as the longest serving (and longest suffering) 1919 bass player! He'll always be part of the family and we wish him all the best in whatever he decides to do.
We would therefore also like to officially welcome Ding Archer to the band! Ding's always been a mate and a supporter of 1919, and having been in The Fall, Red Lorry Yellow Lorry, and all sorts of other ace bands there's nobody we'd rather have on board.
Ding is also the man behind the awesome 6db Studios where we've been bringing this record to life.
Shockingly of all, we are now officially 1/4 Mancunian. Get the Kangol out! X
Hitting the road again this summer, with very special guests.
